Compact System Design

High-frequency operation allows the system to achieve a given output power with less output kVA than comparable low-frequency systems. This improves efficiency in the high-voltage output transformer and allows for a more compact overall system design.

Longer Dielectric Life

Higher-frequency operation reduces peak voltage at the electrode, placing less electrical stress on the dielectric material bonded to the treater roll, or to the electrode in bare-roll systems. The result is improved dielectric life and reduced maintenance risk.

Higher Quality Treatment

High-frequency corona produces lower voltage across the treated material, helping reduce static buildup and minimize inconsistent treatment caused by web wrinkling, lifting, or poor contact with the roll. Metallized webs are also less prone to pinholing and metal blow-off when treated with Corotec’s low-voltage, high-frequency systems.
